The FSU Office of Financial Aid exists to assist students with securing federal, state and institutional financial aid to achieve their degree. Each year, the FSU Office of Financial Aid awards and administers more than 160 million dollars in financial aid to eligible students. Students receive aid in the form of scholarships, grants, work study, and loans -- funds that help them to focus on their education and complete their degree so that they can go into the world with purpose.

In accordance with the policy stated in the FSU Bulletin, the official method of communication at The Florida State University is the University Computing Services/ FSU e-mail account. In order to stay informed and aware, students are required to set up and maintain their account, and check it three times per week.

Graduate PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling Requirement:

Beginning July 1 2008 all Graduate PLUS loan borrowers will need to complete a one-time loan entrance counseling session. This can be done here.

It's time - time to apply for financial aid for Fall 2008/Spring 2009. IF you have not done so already, you need to do so NOW!

Go now to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the 2008/2009 FAFSA.

The application period starts 1/2/2008 and estimated tax data is acceptable.

Apply early to make sure you are considered for all they aid that you may be eligible for.

October 1, 2007:

Federal legislation recently signed into law may affect lender benefits. Lenders may revise benefits at their discretion. Please contact any lender that you have used or are considering using for your student loans and ask how this affects your past or future loan terms.
